We’re presently in Kerrville, TX, and is it hot and muggy. Even though we spend much of the time inside Monte, by the end of the day still we’re wrung out.
We’ve been in Kerrville before, not in the summer, and it was very nice.

However, as you can see by the pictures, the area where the RV park is located is very beautiful.

Tomorrow we’ll be heading up to San Antonio for the Wild West History Associations Roundup.

We’ve spend a couple of days in Ft. Stockton, Texas. They have a 150th birthday coming up in October. We talked to some of the city people and the Chamber of Commerce about the event.
We also had a bracket break that holds one of the axles in place on Monte. Had to have that fixed before the tires were ruined.
The first night we were here a group of Boy Scouts from Louisiana pitched their tents a few yards away from where we were parked for the night. They were on a tour of the West. The next night they were going to be in Tombstone, Arizona.

Dakota offered to talk to them about the Old West and took them on an 1800’s cattle drive. He also talked about the Shootout at the O.K. Corral.

They took copious notes.
