Over the weekend we were at Melody Ranch Studios in Santa Clarita, CA. The event was the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival. Most recently Melody Ranch Studios was where the HBO series Deadwood was filmed. We were exhibitors and didn’t get to see a lot of the performers do their thing. But we sure did get to see a lot of friends.

We took a trip up to Show Low, AZ…Our base of operations…to exchange winter duds for summer ones. When we got there, we encountered snow and temperatures down to the teens. I guess summer hasn’t arrived at the White Mountains.
When we got back to Benson, AZ the temperature was in the seventies. Ahhh! Spring is here. Wednesday, April 8, 2009  
We recently had our last grand party of the year at Cochise Terrace RV Park. We had cheeseburgers in paradise. It was a Hawaiian theme with a lot of Jimmy Buffett music.
Lately when I go to parties like this I have two thoughts: The first is, “Did my parents act like this when they were my age?” And the second, “What would my kids think if they walked in on one of these parties?”
We’re supposed to be reserved senior citizens. On our recent trip to California we stayed at an RV park that was close to a swamp-like area. While there we went on some hikes in the area and Sunny took pictures of the wildlife we saw.
We’re not sure if we stumbled on Jurassic Park or not, but I think you’ll agree that they sure are some strange looking.
