February line-up:
BELLE STARR – Born Myra Maybelle Shirley, this “Bandit Queen” choose the wrong man time and time again.
BUCKY O’NEILL I & 11 – Bucky is one of those adventurous people from the Old West known only to locals. But not any more.
THEY AVOIDED BEING HANGED – The wife of the man killed stopped a lynching in its tracks. But not in the way you may think. SUNSET ROUTE – After the completion of the first continental railroad, the barons looked south and put together another one. DALTON’S FIRST TRAIN ROBBERY – The first train robbery committed by the Dalton Brothers was such a fiasco that they should have known not to continue as outlaws.
CONSTABLE ALEXANDER – In the Old West, a man was not to hurt a woman. But what’s a lawman to do when a woman confronts him with a rifle while carrying out his job? ABILENE, KANSAS – Abilene was the king of the cattle towns, until they told the cattlemen and cowboys not to come back. DONRAVEN – Donraven is just one more man whose life was changed by his visit to Yellowstone. NAT LOVE – Born a slave, Nat Love became one of the most famous cowboys and rodeo performers of his time. OLIVER LEE – A powerful man in New Mexico politics, Lee was able to get a new county formed so he could be tried for murder in friendly surroundings. SAMUEL CUMMINGS – Unfortunately, for Cummings, his brother-in-law was Dallas Stoudenmire. And this brother-in-law caused some tough times for Cummings. THE SOLID MULDOON – Even the 1800’s had their rock stars. And like many rock stars, this one lasted only about a year before he faded into obscurity. JOHN TUNSTALL – The death of Tunstall was the spark lighting the fuse that was to become the Lincoln County War. ALBERT SIEBER – Although he wasn’t as well known as some Army scouts, Al Sieber was probably the best. ETTA PLACE – We know that Etta Place was the girlfriend of the Sundance Kid, but that’s about all we know for sure. HENRY STARR I & II – Although not as well known as other outlaws, Henry robbed more banks than any other outlaw. THE MYSTERIOUS KID – Although he was acquitted for killing a Deputy Sheriff, The Mysterious Kid mysteriously continued his outlaw life until it was ended with a lynching.
PAT GARRETT – After killing Billy the Kid, Garret’s life turned for the worse, even to the point of its end.
